It sounds so funny to call a video game hardcore
Holy crap, is that bulldozer a Blast Corps reference? I loved that game.
"Oh, hey guys. You want to go see Avatar? And it starts in 20 minutes? I'd love to go with you, but I have to stay home and play video games. Yeah, I'll lose some levels and it wouldn't be fair for me to let my team down. Why, yes, I am a loser and I don't deserve to have real friends."
Please, don't anybody let video games turn you into this guy.
Some people like anchovies, some people like banging 12 year olds.
The swords aren't big enough and the haircuts aren't stupid enough.
It's even more insulting to compare Metal Gear and Final Fantasy to Star Wars and Lord of the Rings
Modern Warfare is fun for sure, but it's unbelievably stupid, much like the first one.
I hate the Borderlands box art. They just took that stupid ass emo shirt and removed the emo from it.
I didn't read the story here, I dunno if they touched on that.
Yeah, House of the Dead is 100% aware of how stupid it is. It doesn't quite fit with these other games, except maybe Wet - I never played that. The bad writing is intentional, too. Something like "Papa strikes again!" isn't gonna win awards, but it's worth plenty of sh*ts and giggles.
It's cool to see it get some love on a list, though. Awesome droppage of "The Room" at the end, too!
This reminds me of the South Park episode about piracy.
"This is Lars Ulrich, the drummer of Metallica. All he ever wanted was a gold plated shark tank bar to put next to his pool, but thanks to people downloading his music, he must now wait a month before he can afford it."
It's not okay, but that's life - piracy isn't going anywhere. It's not gonna affect Bayonetta's sales, this game is riding a ton of hype. It'll be fine and the guys who run Capcom will ...
It's the same deal with movies. Wolverine was leaked an entire month before it released in theaters, and it still made $90-something million its opening weekend.
Piracy is not as bad as people make it seem.
Are they abandoning the 2008 Prince of Persia? What the hell is this noise?
But they managed to make $50 million before it even came out, nice move.
You're right, I don't get it.
I totally get why people like MGS 4. It's got ninjas, robots, explosions, fart jokes, boobs...all that good stuff. What I don't get is why people think it has a brilliant story.
This series has always been a little stupid, but fun (remember the bad guy in the first game thinking his recessive genes made him weak?)
But MGS 4 went full-retard.
While you're sitting in your computer chair eating cheetos and bagel bites, Tony Hawk is doing incredible things on a skateboard - not to make money, but because he loves it. He does bagel bites commercials for money.
Speaking of money, this guy has enough money to fill his swimming pool with it and dive in, Scrooge McDuck style. He doesn't need to lend his name to awful games to make money.
And I hate articles like this that are written directly to somebody, like To...
YES! I've been thinking about this too. PLEASE let the guys who did House of the Dead Overkill make a new Virtua Cop or something, where you take down The Man and keep smack off the streets. I think they'd do it right, with boom mics constantly falling into the shot and kung-fu kicks that miss their target by about a foot.
It probably wouldn't really sell, but it'd be glorious.
Yeah, a lot of people think Assassin's Creed 2 is identical on both systems, but you can see dirt under Ezio's fingernails on the 360 version.
SUCK IT PS3!
The title isn't irresponsible. Complaining about a story you haven't read is irresponsible!
So many games try to be ultra-serious and fall flat on their faces. I'd love to see more shots at humor. An Inglourious Basterds style game would kick ass.
You can't pay attention to reviewers, because they're always creaming their pants over whatever the flavor of the month is. The last time I paid attention to a review, I got GTA 4 and I hated it.
I'm sure Tony Hawk Ride sucks, but if it wasn't $120 and if Skate didn't exist, I might have taken a look at it.
I think a lot of people don't even realize Drake's Fortune exists...
